Lisboa, 1979) licenciou-se em Artes Plásticas na Escola Superior de Arte e Design, Caldas da Rainha em 2003. Concluiu o curso avançado da Escola Maumaus - Escola de Artes Visuais em 2004, em Lisboa. Em 2008, frequentou o curso de fotografia do Programa Gulbenkian Criatividade e Criação Artística. Em 2009 concluiu a Pós-graduação em Produção e Criação em Artes Tecnológicas na Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, em Lisboa. O seu trabalho tem sido desenvolvido também em residências artísticas, nomeadamente: “MobileHome - Curso Experimental de Arte Contemporânea” no Lagar Portas do Céu, em Loulé, 2009; “Transitante: entre álbuns e arquivos”, Workshop Internacional de Artistas no Intendente, Lisboa, 2012; “Viagens Invisiveis”, São Tomé e Príncipe, 2013; Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, Lisboa 2013-2015; Inter.meada Residências Artísticas, Alvito, 2015; “Walk&Talk”, Ponta Delgada, Açores e “Mz* Baltazar’s Lab” com Patrícia J. Reis em Viena, Áustria. Ganhou uma Menção Honrosa no Prémio de Fotografia Purificacion Garcia em 2012 e em 2005 o terceiro prémio de Pintura Ariane de Rothschild. Em 2010/2011 recebeu uma Bolsa do Programa INOV-Art do Ministério da Cultura de Portugal, para residir em Antuérpia e ser assistente de David Claerbout. O seu trabalho está presente na Colecção Fundação PLMJ, na Colecção BES ART, no Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild Europe, na Colecção LPS (Stanislas y Leticia Poniatowski), na Colecção Marín Gaspar e em várias colecções privadas. In 2008, Cabanas attended the Photography Course of the Gulbenkian Program for Creativity and Artistic Creation, and she specialized in Production and Creation in Technological Arts at the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Lisbon, in 2009. Carla Cabanas’s work has been awarded the Honorific Mention on the Photography Prize Purificacion Garcia, in 2012, and the third prize in Ariane de Rothschild Painting Award, 2005. In 2010/2011, she received an INOV-Art Programme scholarship, granted by the Portuguese Ministry of Culture to live in Antwerp and work as an assistant of David Claerbout. Work by the artist is held in prominent collections, including the PLMJ Foundation Collection, BES ART Collection, Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild Europe, LPS Collection (Stanislas y Leticia Poniatowski), Marín Gaspar Collection and other private collections. She exhibits regularly since 2000. _________________________________________________ Curadoria de Sérgio Fazenda Rodrigues [pt] Sérgio Fazenda Rodrigues é Arquitecto, é Mestre em Construção, foi doutorando em Artes Plásticas e é doutorando em Arquitectura, onde investiga as relações entre Arquitectura, Curadoria e Museografia. Dedica-se à curadoria de Arquitectura e Arte Contemporânea e escreve para revistas de ambas as áreas. Desenvolve com João Silvério e Nuno Sousa Vieira o projecto editorial Palenque. Desenvolve com Marta Jecu o projecto curatorial Exodus Stations, em parceria com instituições de Portugal, Alemanha, e França. Foi docente universitário, integrou a direcção da A.I.C.A. e foi consultor cultural do Governo Regional dos Açores, gerindo, nesse período, a coleção do Arquipélago – C.A.C. [en] Sérgio Fazenda Rodrigues is an Architect and a MArch in Construction. He was a P.H.D student in Fine Arts, and is currently a P.H.D. student in Architecture, where he investigates the links between entre Architecture, Curatorship and Exhibition Display. He works as a Curator of Architecture and Contemporary Art, and he writes to several magazines. He conceived Projecto Editorial Palenque, with João Silvério and Nuno S. Vieira. He’s developing Exodus Stations, with Marta Jecu, promoting artistic residencies in partnership with Portuguese, German, French and Romanian institutions. He is a member of A.I.C.A. and he was cultural adviser for the Azorean Government. He teached Architecture.
