Entre Portugal e o Japão fica meio mundo de distância, mas o que nos aproxima são as estórias, as formas de viver e as memórias que viajam entre os lugares e através do tempo. Nesta exposição vamos visitar as estórias e tradições de Portugal e do Japão, através do trabalho de desenho e gravura das artistas visuais Beniko Tanaka e Lígia Fernandes. Os trabalhos da exposição estão disponíveis para aquisição. // BIOGRAFIAS Beniko Tanaka chegou a Portugal em 2005, com uma licenciatura em Artes Decorativas (Arts and Craft), pela Universidade de Arte em Tóquio- TAMA, completou a sua formação com um curso avançado em Artes Plásticas no Ar.Co e com Teatro de sombras especializada pelo Teatro Gioco Vita em Itália. Desde esse momento, Beniko Tanaka tem realizado inúmeras intervenções, espectáculos e workshops com diversas instituições em Itália, Japão e Portugal. @beniko_shadow_art Lígia Fernandes trabalha com artes visuais, territórios e comunidades. Através de práticas de pesquisa artística e etnográfica realiza projetos de pintura e desenho em torno da identidade e memória, assim como iniciativas participativas onde as artes visuais são ferramentas para a relação social, a exploração de temas da sociedade e empatia. In this exhibition we will visit the stories and traditions of Portugal and Japan, through the drawing and printmaking work of visual artists Beniko Tanaka and Lígia Fernandes. The exhibition works are available for purchase. // BIO Beniko arrived in Portugal in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in craft design from TAMA university of art in Tokyo, complement her formation in the Advanced Course of Fine arts of Ar.Co -art and visual communication centre in Lisbon (2006-2010) and specialized for shadow theater performance in Teatro Gioco Vita in Italy (2013). Beniko Tanaka has held many collaborations, shows and workshops of shadow puppetry with various institutions in Italy, Japan and Portugal. @beniko_shadow_art Lígia Fernandes works with visual arts, territories and communities. Through artistic and ethnographic research practices, she carries out painting and drawing projects around identity and memory, as well as participatory initiatives where the visual arts are tools for social relations, the exploration of society themes and empathy.
