É comum na produção de metais usarem-se ligas, isto é combinando metais com outros elementos ( geralmente não metais ) sendo que o resultado da mistura dá origem a materiais que geralmente diferem dos metais de base, proporcionando-lhes novas qualidades, nomeadamente aumentando a sua força mecânica, dureza ou resistência à corrosão.Com curadoria de João Fonte Santa, LIGA é um evento efémero de um dia, que propõe a colaboração de dois artistas a cada sessão. Nesta quinta edição, a decorrer no dia 19 de Maio, os artistas convidadas são Fábio Colaço e Bárbara Bulhão.
BIOS:
BÁRBARA BULHÃO (Évora, 1992) vive e trabalha em Lisboa. Concluiu a licenciatura em Escultura na Universidade de Evora (2013), o mestrado em Estudos de Escultura, na FBAUL (2015). Cursou Independent Study Programme Maumaus – Escola de Artes Visuais, em Lisboa (2016). Participou em diversas exposições individuais e coletivas no nível nacional e internacional desde 2013. https://barbarabulhao.com/
FÁBIO COLAÇO (Lisboa,1995) vive e trabalha em Lisboa. Estudou Escultura, Performance e Instalação na Faculdade de Belas-Artes em Lisboa e na Akademie der Bildenden Künste em Munique. A sua obra traduz-se em diversos suportes como a pintura, escultura, fotografia e vídeo. Expõe regularmente em Portugal e no estrangeiro em exposições individuais e coletivas desde 2015. https://fabiocolaco.com/

It is common in the production of metals to use alloys (“liga”), that is, combining metals with other elements (usually non-metals) and the result of the mixture gives rise to materials that generally differ from the base metals, providing them with new qualities, namely increasing the its mechanical strength, hardness or resistance to corrosion. Curated by João Fonte Santa, LIGA is an ephemeral one-day event, which proposes the collaboration of two artists at each session. In this fith edition, taking place on May 19th , the invited artists are Fábio Colaço e Bárbara Bulhão.

BÁRBARA BULHÃO (Évora, 1992) lives and works in Lisbon. She completed a degree in Sculpture at the University of Évora (2013), a master's degree in Sculpture Studies at FBAUL (2015). She attended Independent Study Program Maumaus – School of Visual Arts, in Lisbon (2016).
