During this introductory workshop, participants have the opportunity to create together with the lecturers their first Augmented Reality application for both Android and iOS. Participants will get familiar with the interface of Unity and simple scripting to enhance the possibilities of the built-in tools. The workshop will give an useful knowledge about:
Introduction to Unity
Creative way of thinking about the usage of Augmented Reality
Preparation of materials to make it compatible to cross platform applications
Building immersive audiovisual experience with Vuforia
The aim of the workshop is to build an application for an exhibition organised by BEAST IFF & OKNA, presenting AR works available for the public through the application.

️Have a free account on the portal of Vuforia: https://developer.vuforia.com/vui/auth/register
️Visual Studio editor: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/ (the purple icon not the blue :) )
️VLC https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.pl.html for webm8 or 9 codec converter.
️Preferable Adobe Media Converter but not necessary.
️Any photo and/or video editing software to create creative materials with alpha channel
*Be aware that those apps will need many GigaBytes, so please be sure you have it on your computer before admitting the class.

WORKSHOP TRAINERS:
Elwira Wojtunik and Popesz Csaba Lang are an internationally recognized Polish-Hungarian duo of digital artists known as Elektro Moon Vision. They work at the intersection of creative computing and light-art, creating interactive multimedia installations and augmented reality art projects and creative multimedia programming designed for museums and galleries, theatres and concerts.
Their works were presented at the significant international digital media art exhibitions and events around the world, including the TADAEX in Tehran, in Iran, ~PdCon in New York, ISEA in RPA, Museums Quartier in Vienna, New Media Art Biennale WRO in Wroclaw, Akarenga Soko Gallery in Yokohama, Japan. They are laureats the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow, Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland, MuseumsQuartier in Vienna and the Japanese OMOSIROI Award for innovation.
