The river Tagus estuary is the largest wildlife sanctuary in the country. It plays an important international role in the conservation of waterfowl that finds there optimal conditions for wintering, nesting or as a rest area during migrations. The Tagus Estuary Natural Reserve includes an extensive surface of estuarine waters, fields of vases trimmed by steers, "mouchões" (small islands in the river), marshes, salt marshes and agricultural lands (lezírias). It is inserted in the zone more upstream of the estuary, distributing itself by the counties of Alcochete, Benavente and Vila Franca de Xira. It is the aquatic avifauna that attributes to the Tagus estuary the status of the most important wetland in the country and one of the most important in Europe. Wintering species number about 120,000 individuals. Our tour truly begins with a visit to the valley of Barroca, area where we can observe the ancient salt marshes now deactivated and which are home to countless species of birds. We will continue along the road of the farm of Pancas where we can see not only the wildlife but also the bulls that are created free in the planes for the bullfights that take place throughout the country. Next we will visit the main agricultural company in the region (Companhia das Lezirias) where we will visit the vineyards, wineries and taste the wines of the region. Then we will have free time to lunch in the village of Porto Alto. In the afternoon we will visit the EVOA (Space of Visitation and Bird Watching) where we will walk through its lagoons to observe the hundreds of birds of various species that shelter there. We will end the day driving along the paths of Leziria Grande at sunset where, besides the thousands of birds that shelter there, we will also see some landmarks of interest such as the Church of Our Lady of Alcamé.

Payment conditions:
After receiving your  reservation, GC will request you to pay 50% of the total amount. The reservation will be considered effective upon receipt of this payment. The remaining 50% will be settled on the day of the event.
We will refund the registration fee in case the event does not take place.
The amount paid in the registration will not be refunded in case of the participant's withdrawal with less than 7 days before the date of the event.
