Kathleen Landis, pianista e vocalista de jazz, já se apresentou nos locais musicais mais aclamados de Manhattan, do Café Pierre do Pierre Hotel ao Carnegie Hall e Birdland.
Nos anos 90 conheceu a famosa pianista argentina de tango clássico, Arminda Canteros, com quem estudou tango clássico e moderno espanhol durante seis anos.
Landis cresceu em Detroit, onde foi influenciada por muitos dos grandes pianistas de jazz de Detroit, incluindo Kirk Lightsey, Howard Lucas e Roland Hannah. Em 1982, ela conseguiu um lugar privilegiado na sala de piano do hotel St. Regis. No ano seguinte, Landis tornou-se artista residente no Café Pierre do The Pierre Hotel, cargo que ocupou até 2008, quando o Café Pierre fechou. Landis e seu trio têm sido ouvidos regularmente em salas de jazz notáveis como The Kitano, Pangea Cabaret and Jazz Room e Peacock Alley no The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

Kathleen Landis, jazz pianist and vocalist, has performed in Manhattan’s most acclaimed musical venues from the Pierre Hotel’s Café Pierre to Carnegie Hall to Birdland..
In the 90’s she met Argentine classical and famed tango pianist, Arminda Canteros, with whom she studied Spanish classical and modern tango for six years.
Landis grew up in Detroit where she was influenced by many of the great Detroit jazz pianists, including Kirk Lightsey, Howard Lucas and Roland Hannah. In 1982 she landed a prime piano room spot at the St. Regis hotel. The following year Landis became artist-in-residence at The Pierre Hotel’s Café Pierre, a position she held through 2008 when the Café Pierre closed. Landis and her trio have been regularly heard in such notable jazz rooms as The Kitano, Pangea Cabaret and Jazz Room, and Peacock Alley at The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
