EARLY GUITAR DUO
[PT] The Early Guitar Duo nasceu do encontro de dois músicos, Romolo Calandruccio e Antonio Aprile, que dedicaram cerca de vinte anos exclusivamente ao estudo e execução do repertório de guitarra do século XIX em instrumentos originais. Suas performances derivam de uma pesquisa aprofundada da prática de execução da época e dos compositores individuais, através das fontes originais da época. Seu interesse é especialmente direcionado ao repertório de compositores guitarristas que atuaram entre o final do século XVIII e meados do século XIX, que estabeleceram as bases do "guitarismo" moderno. Nos últimos anos, o Early Guitar Duo realizou concertos-conferência nos Conservatórios de Música Ottorino Respighi em Latina, Tchaikosky em Nocera Terinese e no Museu de Nascimento de Mauro Giuliani em Bisceglie.
[EN] The Early Guitar Duo was born from the meeting of two musicians, Romolo Calandruccio and Antonio Aprile, dedicated for about twenty years exclusively to the study and execution of the nineteenth-century guitar repertoire on original instruments. Their performances stem from an in-depth research of the performance practice of the period and of the individual authors, through the original sources of the time. Their interest is particularly directed to the repertoire of composer guitarists operating between the late 1700s and the mid-1800s who laid the foundations of "modern" guitarism. In recent years, The Early Guitar Duo has held conference concerts in the Conservatories of Music: Ottorino Respighi in Latina, Tchaikosky in Nocera Terinese, and at the Mauro Giuliani Birthplace Museum in Bisceglie.

INVISIBLE STRINGS
[PT] O Theremin é o único instrumento que é tocado sem contato físico. O som é produzido com base em ondas eletromagnéticas, usando duas antenas. Foi inventado em 1919, mas ainda é raramente tocado nos palcos de concertos, tornando cada concerto com theremin uma verdadeira atração. O projeto "Invisible strings" foi criado por dois músicos internacionalmente reconhecidos, o thereminista Thorwald Jørgensen e o guitarrista Josip Dragnić, e tem sido apresentado em países como Alemanha, Luxemburgo, Croácia, Montenegro e Itália. O projeto traz algumas das mais famosas peças dos grandes compositores, como De Falla, Ravel, Villa Lobos e Piazzolla, arranjadas para theremin e guitarra, além de peças de música contemporânea originalmente escritas para este duo. Em algumas dessas peças, o theremin imita a voz, em outras o violoncelo ou violino. Esses dois instrumentos formam juntos uma bela e interessante combinação das harmonias tocadas pela guitarra de 6 cordas e a linha melódica tocada pelo theremin na "Invisible string".
[EN] Theremin is the only instrument that is played without physical contact. The sound is produced on the basis of electromagnetic waves, using two antennas. It was invented in 1919 but it is still rarely played on the concert stages, so every concert with theremin is a real attraction. The project "Invisible strings" has been created by two internationally renowned musicians, thereminist Thorwald Jørgensen and guitarists Josip Dragnić, and has been presented in countries like Germany, Luxembourg, Croatia, Montenegro, and Italy. The project brings some of the most famous pieces by the great composers like De Falla, Ravel, Villa Lobos, and Piazzolla arranged for theremin and guitar, but also contemporary music pieces originally written for this duo. In some of those pieces, theremin imitates the voice, in others cello or violin. These two instruments form together a beautiful and interesting combination of the harmonies played by the guitar on 6 strings and the melodic line played by theremin on the "Invisible string".
