On occasion of the upcoming 25th of April Revolution celebrations in Portugal and the recently released limited editions, Underdogs is honored to be hosting a special open talk with renowned Portuguese photographer Alfredo Cunha.
Known for his powerful images documenting significant moments in the country's history, one of Alfredo Cunha’s most notable works is his coverage of the 25th of April revolution in Portugal, which in 1974 overthrew the authoritarian dictatorial regime and eventually led to the establishment a democratic government in the country. Capturing the atmosphere of the time, his photographs reflect the people's excitement, hope, and determination to bring down oppression and embrace freedom. These images of the revolution are regarded as some of the most iconic in Portugal's history and have become an important part of the country's visual legacy.
