'In the Moment' Film Photography Exhibition Opening

‘In the Moment' is a film photography exhibition presented by Dana Click. 

Exhibition Statement: 
There’s something special about the nature of shooting analog 35mm film that makes one both slow down for that perfect moment and rapidly capture it as it falls into place. Knowing that I will only take one shot of any given subject forces me to focus intensely on the moment as it unfolds. This collection is a journey through New York moments, exemplifying the beauty and battle that makes this city a place of high hopes and harsh realities. At the heart of it all, its inhabitants, in their natural form.

About the Artist: 
Originally from the Bronx, Dana Click is a Portugal based photographer with a passion for film photography. Ranging from street to portraiture, their work involves capturing and documenting the beautiful and intriguing nature of everyday people and places. With a precise eye, Dana has developed bodies of work including ‘cats', 'from my European window', and ‘laundry day' among other location specific projects. As a non-binary and queer person, Dana also has an empathetic and activistic focus on challenging the inequities that exist within cultures and systems. In 2020, their Black Lives Matter project was exhibited in Times Square with ZAZ10. Dana’s work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across America and Portugal.
