About:
Elements of Indian classical music can easily cross over into western music genres. Indian music is not alien to western music at all. The difference is where the focus is. The main focus of Indian music is modal, it is highly improvised on melody and rhythmic cycles. Indian classical music has specific stylised playing techniques that can be used.
