Quando criança, Arjun aprendeu com seu pai, o sitarista Roop Verma, ele mesmo um discípulo de Ali Akbar Khan e Ravi Shankar. Quando adolescente, Arjun teve a sorte de estudar com Ali Akbar Khan por oito anos, e desde o falecimento do Meastro em 2009, com seu filho Alam Khan. A combinação destas influências resulta em um estilo que abrange os aspectos profundos e estimulantes da música clássica do norte da Índia. Arjun já atuou em todo o mundo, incluindo espectáculos notáveis com a St.Louis Symphony, Houston Grand Opera e no Castelo de Praga, Patte Arena, Filmore, Nações Unidas em Genebra e na NBC TV. Formou-se em Marketing e Publicidade, mas foi em Dança Indiana, Yoga e Filosofias de Vida Asiáticas que se descobriu como artista e ser humano. Tara mudou-se para a Índia em 2008 quando se apaixonou por Odissi, Dança Clássica Indiana. Ela decidiu fazer da Índia a sua casa e dedicar o seu tempo ao treinamento intensivo, pesquisa e promoção desta cultura e as suas arte ancestrais. Tara treinou com Guru Kasturi Pattanaik e Sharon Lowen. Atualmente esta a fazer formacao de um ano em 'Professora de Dança Odissi' com Silvana Duarte. Tara ja atuou extensivament na Índia e em vários países ao redor do mundo como artista solo e em colaboração com Fanna-Fi-Allah Sufi Qawwali, Nava Dance Collective de Miriam Peretz, Viuna Music Ensemble do Irã, etc. Tara é a fundadora do Jiya, Festival da Índia no Museu Fundação Oriente, Baithak Sessions no CHP e curadora-produtora de ‘Nataraj Dance Stage’ no Boom Festival. She graduated in Marketing and Advertising but it was in Indian Dance, Yoga and Asian Life Philosophies that she found herself as an artist, and human being. Tara moved to India in 2008 when she fell in love with Odissi, Classical Indian Dance. She decided to make India her home and dedicate her time to the intensive training, research and promotion of this ancient culture and Art. Tara trained with Guru Kasturi Pattanaik and Sharon Lowen. She is currently undergoing a one year Teacher Training on Odissi Dance with Silvana Duarte. Tara has performed extensivly in India and in several countries around the world as a solo artist and in collaboration with Fanna-Fi-Allah Sufi Qawwali, Nava Dance Collective by Miriam Peretz, Viuna Music Ensemble from Iran, etc. Tara is the founder of Jiya, Festival da Índia at Museu Fundação Oriente, Baithak Sessions at CHP, and curator-producer of ‘Nataraj Dance Stage’ at Boom Festival.
