Está conversa terá lugar no Sábado 26 de Junho pelas 17h até às 20h em Avis, onde iremos falar sobre arte, vida na e da Palestina. A conversa é aberta a todos os que nela queiram participar.
Shahd Wadi é Palestiniana, entre outras possibilidades, mas a liberdade é sobretudo palestiniana. Exerce a sua liberdade também no que faz, viajando entre investigação, tradução, escrita, curadoria e consultorias artísticas. Procurou as suas resistências ao escrever a sua dissertação de Doutoramento em Estudos Feministas pela Universidade de Coimbra que serviu de base ao livro “Corpos na trouxa: histórias-artísticas-de-vida de mulheres palestinianas no exílio” (2017). Foi então seleccionada para a plataforma Best Young Researchers. Obteve o grau de mestre na mesma área pela mesma universidade com uma tese intitulada “Feminismos de corpos ocupados: as mulheres palestinianas entre duas resistências” (2010). Para os respectivos graus académicos, ambas as teses foram as primeiras no país na área dos Estudos Feministas. Na sua investigação aborda as narrativas artísticas no contexto da ocupação israelita da Palestina e considera as artes um testemunho de vidas. Também da sua.

Officina Mundi is pleased to invite you to a conversation with Shahd Wadi about her work "Bodies in a Bundle: Artistic-Life-Stories of Palestinian Women in Exile"
This talk will take place Saturday June 26th from 5pm to 8pm in Avis where we will talk about art and life in and from Palestine. The conversation is open to anyone who wants to participate.
Shahd Wadi is Palestinian among other possibilities, but the freedom is mostly Palestinian. She sought her resistance through her PhD thesis in Feminist Studies at the University of Coimbra in Portugal, which was published in a book entitled "Bodies in a Bundle: Artistic-Life-Stories of Palestinian Women in Exile" (2017). She was also nominated by The European Project for Research Dissemination (ERD), to be part of the platform of Best European Young Researcher. She holds Master's degree in the same field with a thesis entitled "Feminisms of Occupied Bodies: Palestinian Women between Two Resistances" (201) She was the first in Portugal to receive each of these degrees in this field. In her research she addresses the narratives and representations of women's bodies in cultural and artistic contemporary creations as simultaneously silence and site of resistance in the context of the Israeli occupation of Palestine. She considers art a life testimony, also her own.
