LITERARY PERSONALITIES OF THE HOUSES OF FRONTEIRA AND ALORNA  

Thematic tour guided by  Dr. SORAIA FERREIRA.  

Some of the members of the noble Houses of Fronteira and Alorna were distinguished men and women of letters. The most celebrated are, undoubtedly, the 4th Marchioness of Alorna, Dona Leonor de Almeida Portugal (1750-1839) and the 7th Marquis of Fronteira Dom José Trazimundo Mascarenhas Barreto (1802-1881), but there were also other family members who were known for their writings. To honour  the memory of these celebrated authors the Foundation offers to the visitors a thematic visit on this fascinating subject, following the marks of the presence of these personalities in the Fronteira Palace.

WARNING – Given the limited number of available entries, reservations are secured by the payment of the tour. Reservations payed and not used for reasons unrelated with the organization are not refundable.  

Program 

THEMATIC TOUR AT 11h30 

11h15 - Meeting at the entrance of Fronteira Palace store  - Largo de São Domingos de Benfica, 1 – Lisbon 
11h30 - Beginning of the thematic tour to the Fronteira Palace 
12h30 - End of the thematic tour.  
 
Registration conditions: 

- Price of the thematic tour to the Fronteira Palace: 13 €; 
- Children under 12 - Free entrance (provided they are accompanied by parents); 
- Minimum number of participants: 10 people; 
- Registration required (entries will be registered by order of arrival, up to a maximum of 20 participants).
