De volta ao activo desde 2017, após um hiato de quase 10 anos numa altura em que iam tomando, concerto a concerto, lugar cimeiro na explosão neo-psicadélica da primeira década do século, os japoneses Green Milk From The Planet Orange sintetizam todos – absolutamente todos – os ingredientes que tornam as melhores bandas nipónicas instantaneamente reconhecíveis: paixão pelo heavy-metal (do spray ao corpse-paint)  criatividade e técnica (sem show-off) sobrehumanas  uma aura de estranheza alienígena (entendemos as partes mas nunca imaginámos um todo assim)  intensidade esgotante (mesmo com o guitarrista e vocalista religiosamente tocando sentado) 
Voltam à Europa ao fim de demasiados anos com o terceiro disco na bagagem, e o Barreiro tem o privilégio de ser uma das paragens para testemunhar o que é, hoje em dia, rock  xxx progressivo xxx progressista.

Os PARPAR são um duo nacional de bateria e saxofone barítono fortemente processados de energia aparentemente inesgotável, navegando a improvisação com uma sensibilidade rock e a repetição com uma atracção pelo abismo de forma admirável. Como diz o ditado, 'a melhor música balcânica é a que evoca Lightning Bolt'.

Returning in 2017 after a nearly 10 year-long hiatus, before which they took, gig by gig, a leading role in the neo-psychedelic explosion of this century’s first decade, the Japanese band Green Milk From The Planet Orange bring together every – and we mean every – one of the ingredients that make the best Japanese bands instantly recognizable: a passion for heavy-metal (from spray to corpse-paint)  inhuman creativity and technique (without showing off)  an aura of alien weirdness (where we understand the parts but we could have never imagined the whole)  an exhausting intensity (even with the guitarist and singer playing sitting down) 
They’re back in Europe after far too many years to bring us their third album, and Barreiro has the privilege of being one of the places where we can witness what progressive rock looks like these days.

PARPAR are a Portuguese drums/heavily processed sax duo with a seemingly inexhaustible energy who thread through improvisation and repetition with a rock sensibility in a journey towards the abyss. Like the saying goes: ‘the best Balkan music is the one evoking Lighting Bolt’.
