O aparecimento de marcas e logos que nos anos noventa do séc. XX formaram a identidade que caracteriza e designa uma subcultura suburbana, de certa forma configuram um estereótipo. A definição de um estereótipo que pode conduzir a um sentimento de pertença a um determinado grupo, é um exercício de inclusão, mas simultaneamente de encenação – roleplay. Proporcionado por um universo em saturação de imagens e referentes provenientes do scroll overwhelm, a contaminação dos ‘papéis de representação’, confundem a identidade e a interpretação. No contexto local no qual a Bienal de Arte Contemporânea da Maia tem lugar, Tiago Alexandre desenvolve um happening participativo convidando o espectador a personificar um estereótipo cultural, registar o momento em fotografia e dissemina-lo nas redes sociais.
São criados um conjunto de bonés com inscrições bordadas, em parceria com Sara & André, que jogam com os diversos intervenientes do universo da Arte e da Cultura, adaptados à realidade social da Maia, questionando a sua identidade local.

The emergence of brands and logos in the 1990s has shaped the identity that characterises and designates a suburban culture and somehow has configured a stereotype. The definition of a stereotype leading to a sense of belonging to a given group is both an exercise in inclusion and staging-roleplaying. Brought about by a universe undergoing a saturation by images and references that come from the scroll overwhelm, the contamination of “roles” make identity and interpretation undistinguishable. In the local context in which the Maia Biennial of Contemporary Art unfolds, Tiago Alexandre develops a participative happening by inviting visitors to personify a cultural stereotype, photographically recording the moment and spreading it on social networks.
A series of caps with embroidered inscriptions were created in a partnership with Sara & André, which bring into play the various elements from the universes of art and culture, adapted to Maia’s social reality and questioning its local identity.
