Miguel Martins "Kaleidoscópio" was born in 2004 in Lisbon, because of the need to intervene through improvised music and composition.The musical complicity with bassist Carlos Barretto and the drummer Jose Salgueiro, makes the chemistry between these musicians intense and interactive.The record "THE NEWCOMER" was considered one of the BEST PORTUGUESE JAZZ RECORD OF 2007 (improvisos ao sul, Jazz.pt António Branco).This trio is designed to arouse feelings in the audience and make it travel through improvisation with original compositions by Martins, with the aim of raising awareness of human problems. The "Kaleidoscope" is a tool that illustrates several precession and abstract realities, thus seeking the mind away from rotten reality and degrading to humanity now lives. Through experiential life portraits, characterizations of characters, imaginary places, the Jazz, Rock and Worldmusic future maintenance releases are "Kaleidoscopic" expression of intervention.
