Workshop Acrylic Paiting

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS WORKSHOP

This workshop consists of one 2-hour session. It is designed as a quick and accessible introduction to acrylic painting, starting from scratch and offering personalized support in the first steps.
It is aimed at those who want to achieve their first satisfactory results with acrylic paint on paper or canvas, but do not yet have the knowledge to do so.
You will be taught basic techniques and essential tools that will give you confidence and enable you to begin to have the skills and autonomy to make those paintings that were never just a dream.

ABOUT THE ARTIST MARAMGONÍ
Born in São Paulo in 1972, he showed an interest in drawing from an early age, already demonstrating great skill with shapes and proportions.

He started painting at the age of 9 and never stopped, as a self-taught artist, showing his talent for painting from an early age. In his teens, he began teaching oil painting. 

An academic, Maramgoní followed the line for a while, until he found himself needing to break down barriers and look for new lines. Using a personal preference, he began to study architecture, more specifically Greco-Roman architecture...

Maramgoní's work was awarded prizes in Paris at the Louvre and also by the UN, receiving several different awards.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- General techniques: you will discover some of the “secrets” behind the artist's hand and understand how to achieve satisfactory results quickly for figurative paintings with acrylic paint.
- Application of techniques: you will carry out exercises based on real compositions, as well as images chosen for beginners, to put general techniques into practice and apply the theory step by step.
- Materials: you will learn about the range of materials typically used in acrylic painting and the function of each one.
- Color theory: you will learn the basics of mixing colors, creating your palette and achieving the desired tones for each exercise.


MATERIALS
In order to carry out this training, you will need a set of acrylic painting materials:
- Acrylic paint (minimum 12 colors or primary colors)
- A4 size acrylic canvas 
- 4 to 6 acrylic brushes (various sizes and characteristics)
You can buy this set in our Arco Iris stationery store in Shopping Aqua, just for the parts you need. However, if you already have materials similar to these, you can bring them and use them in the training.
If you choose to buy from our store, you can purchase a KIT on the day for €15, but you will need to let us know at the time of registration so that we can consider it. You can pay in cash at the time.

I don't know how to paint or draw, I have no skill or talent. Is this workshop for me?
Yes! This Introduction to Acrylics is designed exactly for those who haven't picked up a brush in years or who have never picked one up and don't know how to paint, but want to experiment and learn.
What level of people take part in this training?
Usually, the people who take part in this training have no technical knowledge of acrylic painting and have never attended any painting training. This Introduction to Acrylics is the right place for anyone to start from scratch.
Where are the classes?
The classes take place at Galeria Art Inspirada in Lagos, which is located at R. Dr. João Maldonado Centeno 7 Loja B, 8600-512 Lagos. 
Can I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes, we can issue a certificate of attendance at the end of the training, which we will send to you by email in pdf format. Please request it from the management by sending an email to info@artinspirada.com or providing this information in person on the day of the workshop.
