But as unexpected change brings fortunate futures and nomadic routes, its spirit too shall reincarnate. I would like to thank all the kind friends and neighbours that made this adventure possible. Meanwhile, you are welcome to join us for: MAN HAT BRIDGE Saturday 22 November 5pm "Hello. We are David and Styrmir. We are like-minded practitioners. In Lisbon we are debuting our first duo performance, Man Hat Bridge, a manifold thriller. There's gonna be sex. There's gonna be death. We have a brand new boombox Bianca. There will be a killer snake. We work with the co-existence of narrative performance and studio based objects. During Man Hat Bridge we will merge our individual practices by weaving together a collection of old and new works into a storytelling tour that moves from the Barber Shop into the streets." David Bernstein (1988, San Antonio, Texas) is an artist based in Amsterdam. He combines performance, sculpture, and writing to tell stories through objects. He has presented his work internationally at Walden Affairs, The Hague (2014); Nomas Foundation, Rome (2013 & 2014); Performa 13, NY (2013); CAC, Vilnius (2013); Frutta, Rome (2013); De Appel, Amsterdam (2013); and SculptureCenter, NY (2012). Styrmir Örn Guðmundsson (1984, Reykjavík, Iceland) is also an artist based in Amsterdam. He combines performance, sculpture, and writing to tell stories through objects. He has presented his work internationally at The Living Art Museum, Reykjavik (2014); Cultura Surplus, Mexico City (2014); Nomas Foundation, Rome (2014); CAC, Vilnius (2013); Oo Lithuanian / Cypriot Pavilion, Venice Biennial (2013); Boekie Woekie, Amsterdam (2013); and Crikoteka, Krakow (2012).
