VI Ciclo de Música Antiga [Early Music Fest] Sons Antigos a Sul

PT | O Ciclo de Música Antiga Sons Antigos a Sul [SAS] é um projecto anual dirigido pela Academia de Música de Lagos de promoção e divulgação da Música Antiga no Algarve, envolvendo ensembles profissionais nacionais e internacionais, iniciado no Verão de 2012 no Barlavento Algarvio. O VI SAS 2017 mantém a programação na Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Guadalupe [DRCultalg / Vila do Bispo], todas as Sextas-Feiras de Agosto pelas 17h00, tendo já percorrido nestas V Edições, diversos espaços patrimoniais de Lagos, Portimão e Vila do Bispo.  Em 2017, estende a sua programação para a Igreja Matriz de Monchique, dedicada a Nossa Senhora da Assunção. “Ode a Maria” é o tema para 2017 e contará com quatro ensembles de craveira nacional e internacional, designadamente, Ensemble Residente “Sons Antigos a Sul” com Eduardo Ramos como convidado especial no alaúde, José Carlos Araújo (Portugal), Le Voci delle Grazie (Holanda / Portugal) e Seconda Pratica (Holanda / Portugal). 

O VI SAS está inserido no Programa de Apoio Sustentado às Artes e Espectáculos, estrutura financiada pela Direcção Geral das Artes/Ministério da Cultura, com o apoio da Diocese do Algarve e Município de Monchique. O concerto inaugural é apoiado exclusivamente pela Direcção Regional de Cultura do Algarve.


EN | The Early Music Festival Sons Antigos a Sul [SAS] is a unique project of AML, on the promotion of Early Music throughout the western part of the Algarve region, which aims to introduce this genre to wider public appreciation. The first series happened in August 2012, and gave privileged access to cultural heritage venues, affording original acoustic sound throughout every weekend of August. This cycle continues to embrace the Ermida da Guadalupe (supported by Directorate Regional for Culture in the Algarve), a recognized Portuguese heritage site with concerts being held every Friday of August at 5pm. In 2017, the Festival makes an homage to Virgin Mary and the Feminine, with concerts performed by national and international specialists in the fields of Early Music, using historical instruments. 4th August is the Opening concert held by Algarve Resident Ensemble “Sons Antigos a Sul” [PT] with special guest Eduardo Ramos Moçarabe (lute) and 11th August a special harpsichord virtuoso in baroque music José Carlos Araújo l harpsichord & organ [PT]. Third and Fourth Ensemble will bring two emergent talented Ensembles led by Portuguese fine musicians living in the European Diaspora: Le Voci delle Grazie [NL] directed by Laura Lopes, and Seconda Pratica directed by Nuno Atalaia Rodrigues [NL]. 

The Opening concert of the SAS is supported by the Directorate Regional for Culture in the Algarve. The remaining concerts are partially supported by the Arts Support programme runned by the Directorate General for the Arts / Ministry of Culture, and the Municipality of Monchique.
