PSF2016 > Roundtable discussion: A Turn towards online exhibition & distribution platforms

This panel will be dedicated to the current turn towards digital exhibition formats & online platforms, and to both the challenges and possibilities it brings along for artists and curators. This movement is creating and enforcing a discourse related to curation, accessibility and audience expansion, as well as to questions regarding authorship and provenance tracking. The panel intends to present the perspective from a curator, an artist, a collector and an institution. Moderated by Daniela Arriado, Director & curator of Screen City Festival (Norway), and Art Republic Media – platform for digital art in public space. This panel will be a collaboration between the Post Screen Festival, and Arriado’s research sessions, primarily focusing on the screen-based curatorial practice, and the curatorial role in this vast Internet landscape, being arranged in Lisbon, Berlin, Barcelona and Oslo during 2016.
