Eglé Sirvydyté will present herself in Portugal with her own songs and a big part of her songs as part of Mmpsuf project, for the very first time in our country! 17 Julho - Porto (esplanada da Casa da Música) - 22h30 - entrada livre 18 Julho - Faro (Q-Espaço Cultural - Rua Rasquinho 8000-416 Faro 22h30; Preços: 5.00€ (4,00€ sócios) Eglė is a singer, song-writer, composer, graduated from Kuršėnai Art School (violin class, year 2003), and since then she has been working on various art projects in acoustic, jazz, folk, rock, electronic music. Currently Eglė is playing and creating music in minimal-electronic music project mmpsuf. “Eglė’s voice was showcased numerous times before the birth of mmpsuf: her talent is well known to those who came under the spell of her singer-songwriter material, theatre scores, and experiments in jazz, trip hop and even rock. However, mmpsuf seems to be the most appropriate creative platform she has found yet. And the music? Well, if you have ever tried to pigeonhole Björk, you would probably know what a pointless task it is. Like that great Icelandic innovator, mmpsuf defy categorisation.” (R. Zilnys, Lithuanian Culture Guide). Since December of 2012 Eglė also played and sang with an alternative music band KURAK (A Lithuanian "creme de la creme" team of brave young musical minds) as a guest vocalist. In 2008-2010 she gathered a jazz band (together with N. Bakula, S. Petreikis, M. Perepelica, D. Vastakaite). In 2010 Egle released a few works with music project Dykumos (together with Domas Strupinskas, Paulius Adomenas). Eglė is also writing music for films, theater and dance performances. Permanently collaborates with professional musicians, dancers, theater or cinema directors and implements new art projects.
