É com um enorme prazer que vos apresentamos o músico e produtor TIPPY I GRADE, de St. Croix, pela primeira vez em Lisboa para uma sessão de live dub muito especial dedicado ao extenso reportório musical do AKAE BEKA / VAUGHN BENJAMIN / MIDNIGHT. Esta noite serve também de lançamento em vinil dos 7 polegadas de vocais e dubs inéditos do AKAE BEKA em parceria com a BEFORE ZERO RECORDS.
Como se a sessão não fosse razão suficiente para virem até ao VILLAGE UNDERGOUND LISBOA convidamos-vos a todos a participar num workshop com o TIPPY I GRADE e com o KIBIR LA AMLAK sobre “A arte das técnicas de misturar dub ao vivo” durante a tarde, antes da sessão, uma oportunidade única de verem estes dois mestres em acção a explicar a sua arte.
Os Simply Rockers Sound System são um colectivo de selectas e músicos de Portugal e do Brasil: ERNESTO HONESTO, THIAGO MAYOMBE, NATTY FRED e TERESA SALOMÉ. Vamos com as malas cheias de discos clássicos, dubplates e originais, da fundação até ao dia de hoje sempre com paragem obrigatória nos anos 90. O sound system vai estar afinado e a trabalhar da melhor forma para vos providenciar a pressão sonora e qualidade de som necessária.

It is with great pleasure that we present the musician and producer TIPPY I GRADE, from St. Croix, for the first time in Lisbon for a special live dub session and also to launch the never before released Akae Beka “vocal and version” 7inch vinyl in partnership with Before Zero Records. If this wasn´t enough we would also like to invite you to a workshop on “the art of live dub technics” with TIPPY I GRADE and KIBIR LA AMLAK during the afternoon before the session.
“TIPPY I GRADE is a live dub mixing engineer and producer from St. Croix, VI who is best known for his extensive works with Vaughn Benjamin of Midnite/Akae Beka. By bringing studio elements to the stage, he performs improvised live dub mixing of songs from his and his Zion I Kings production team's vast catalog of original works. By fusing the classic Jamaican tradition of dub mixing with modern technology and techniques developed at his "Dub in the Rainforest" events, Tippy I Grade brings an immersive experience of heavyweight dub and transcendent lyrical power.”
On our part you can expect a tuned up handmade Sound System that’s ready to rumble, lots of records from old to new with a mandatory stop in the 90´s with lots of classics, dubplates and originals inna true sound system style & fashion.
