FUTURE AESTHETICS

The course articulates hypotheses on future research perspectives, including the future of images and their political significance from a gender, post-colonial, ecological perspective. It is a laboratory rather than a course: students are asked to reflect, elaborate, create and possibly present their work and hypotheses on the contemporary age.
By engaging artists' widespread aesthetic and political engagement with environmental conditions and processes around the globe and looking at cutting-edge theoretical, political, and cultural developments in the Global South and North - the students will gain valuable knowledge in the fields of art history, ecology, visual culture, and environmental politics.
